Frequently Asked Questions
What should I expect after having an aesthetics treatment?
After receiving dermal fillers and antiwrinkle, it’s completely normal to experience some mild side effects as part of the body’s natural response to the trauma. These typically settle within a few days.
Most Common Side Effects:
-
Redness at the injection site
-
Swelling (especially in the lips)
-
Bruising
-
Tenderness or mild discomfort
-
Itching
-
Small lumps or bumps (usually temporary and resolve as the filler settles)
When to Expect Improvement:
-
Most side effects improve within 24–72 hours
-
Swelling and bruising can take up to 7–14 days to fully settle
When to Contact Your Practitioner:
-
Severe or worsening pain
-
Skin that looks pale, dusky, or mottled
-
Signs of infection (heat, pus, fever)
-
Sudden or uneven swelling
-
Any reaction that feels unusual or concerning
Should I have 0.5ml or 1ml lip filler?
There’s no one-size-fits-all answer when it comes to choosing between 0.5ml and 1ml. Everyone’s facial structure and desired outcome are unique. We understand that many clients worry about looking ‘fake’ or overdone — but rest assured, our approach is always focused on enhancing your natural beauty with subtle, balanced results.
We recommend booking for 1ml to allow flexibility. During your appointment, your practitioner will carry out a full consultation and assess your individual anatomy. If they feel that a smaller amount would be more suitable to achieve the most natural result, your treatment will be adjusted accordingly.
Typically, 0.5ml is recommended for subtle top-ups following a recent appointment, to build on existing filler, or for those with naturally thinner lips looking for a very soft enhancement. For first-time clients or those seeking more noticeable volume, 1ml is usually more appropriate — but this will always be tailored to your individual needs during your consultation.

How do i apply numbing cream?
-
Clean the Area:
Gently cleanse the area where you’ll be applying the cream to remove any makeup, skincare, or oils. -
Apply a Thick Layer:
Apply a generous layer (about the size of a 10p coin for lips) to the treatment area — don’t rub it in. It should sit thickly on the skin like icing. -
Cover with Occlusion:
Cover the area with cling film or a proper occlusive dressing to help the cream absorb fully and avoid drying out. -
Wait 30–60 Minutes:
Leave the cream on for at least 30 minutes (up to 1 hour for maximum effect). You can feel a slight tingling or cool sensation as it starts working. -
Remove Before Treatment:
Wipe off the cream thoroughly using a clean tissue or cloth right before your treatment begins.
